About Our Founder
Our company was established and is currently owned by Joe Garefino. Dedicated to customer service, with a reputation for excellence and integrity, Joe has obtained more contracting work through client and peer referrals. The network he has built throughout his career allows our business to grow.
Joe Garefino earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University, where he was awarded a full football scholarship as a quarterback. He also received a master’s degree in education from Trenton State College and completed the requirements for Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA).
With more than 30 years of experience in the business, Joe has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 1983 in various roles. Beginning at Johnson & Johnson in basic research, he started working in the laboratory. To gain more knowledge and to further his clinical career, he worked with pilot plant trials, production processes, and focus group testing of products.
As contract research organizations (CROs) began forming to assist pharmaceutical companies with clinical services, Joe left Johnson & Johnson in 1991 to pursue CRO opportunities. He held such positions as in-house, regional, and lead clinical research associate overseeing studies in various therapeutic areas. Joe also actively participated in training junior staff members.
The Birth of Our Consulting Company
With Joe’s commitment and hard work, his responsibilities increased in his former jobs and he gained valuable knowledge of the clinical research process. This allows him to begin a career as an independent consultant in February of 1995.
